Fast, Freeze dried smoothies.

It seems this January everyone is trying to pack in their nutrients in smoothies, namely NutriBullets! We all know some recipes can take far too long to make and ultimately are too much hassle. Here are a few fresh ideas incorporating freeze dried fruits, simply add straight from the pack, no cutting, peeling or juicing. All with no nutrients lost! Perfect.


Modern Mango - Indonesian Jamu.

Indonesian Jamu is a traditional Indonesian ‘herbal medicine’ that has been made for centuries, traditionally used to heal and enhance beauty and strength. With its high concentration of antioxidants it’s fantastic to keep the mind and body feeling healthy whilst tasting delicious.

MangoKumquatSmoothie Ingredients. Method. Add all ingredients into NutriBullet/Blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy, keeping one delicious mango crisp out to crumble over the top. Enjoy immediately.  

Flu- Fighter

These vibrant ingredients combine to create the ultimate cold-crusher, the fresh citrus and ginger mixed with the freeze dried fruit create an antioxidant master class, so if your feeling a little under the weather then this ones certainly for you.

Cleansing Greens and Coconut blast.

This fresh easy to make blend is packed with goodness sure to leave you feeling revitalized and renewed.

This-Tropical-Green-Smoothie-is-one-of-my-favorite-green-smoothies-loaded-with-spinach-pineapples-orange-juice-and-bananas.-Its-only-255-calories-and-deliciously-smooth-4   Ingredients.   Method. Place all ingredients into NutriBullet/Blender, blend on high until for 30s or until smooth. Enjoy and feel rejuvenated.  

Recover - Post workout.

This refuel and rehydrate shake is a post workout essential. The whey protein is a fantastic fast acting protein designed to maximize protein synthesis after exercise this mixed with the hydrating properties from the coconut water is ideal for recovery.

Fear is an effective motivator. The looming reality of a 26-mile marathon or even a 5k run, has the power to make even the most lackadaisical among us get out of bed, and this is the perfect season to galvanise your exercise routine by planning your next challenge, even more so when you're completing a challenge for charity to raise money for the worthiest of causes — be it completing the breath taking Three Peak walk in Yorkshire, swimming across the Thames or completing a 5k run alongside hundreds of  people being splashed with every colour of powder paint you could imagine?!

Not only should the fear of completing a challenge keep you going though, but knowing this could be the start of a beautiful new or perhaps renewed friendship with keeping fit and accomplishing  a new goal!

For the jogging and runner types, it's not too late to sign up for the Cancer Research UK 10k Winter Run, being hosted in Manchester, London and Liverpool. This is the perfect opportunity to achieve those January new years resolutions goals sooner rather than later (so long as you are comfortable with running this distance in a short amount of time - don't push yourself too hard!)

Run from stadium to stadium on this fantastic new half marathon, pounding the pavements of North London. Ending inside the Wembley Stadium... which has to be one of the best finish lines in the world!
 Help WCRF celebrate 25 years of cancer prevention research by scaling three mountains in the Pennine range, some of the most spectacular countryside England has to offer.
Summit the three Yorkshire peaks Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, whilst taking in the stunning panoramic views, the famous Ribblehead Viaduct and part of the scenic Settle to Carlisle railway line enroute. The challenge also ends with a super rewarding celebration dinner..yum!   Y3P-header-image  

Finally,if you're more of a fun runner/skipper/walker or hopper! Then get ready for a 5k with a difference.. The Colour Run involves completing 5k but with a rather large amount of colour added along the way..This is the perfect run to take part in with friends, family or a great way to have a laugh with new people.


Meanwhile, London’s lidos are filling up with people defying the weather because they have open- water swims to train for. The Great Newham swim is on July 15, which is a while away, but challenges are kinda like exams — cramming is a false economy and the more groundwork you do, the better! Never push yourself too hard too close to the time. This swim is a chance to get in the Thames, which will have warmed up by July, and go from the O2 Arena to Canary Wharf. It’s clean there, apparently. You  can do anything from half a mile to two, why not complete with a partner by your side!
